Delete inputs/operators/outputs

All elements (feeds, operators and properties) have a menu with the option to remove them from the data flow.

Example of the option to delete, in this case a property.

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT to be careful with the deletion of the properties that appear in the OUTPUTS column, since when they are deleted they are completely erased together with the historical information that is linked to them and that may be being used in alarms, dashboards or even in other data flows of the asset.

Feeds or properties that are deleted from the INPUTS column, as well as OPERATORS, are not completely deleted, they are just removed from the data flow. They can be added again by clicking on the "+" button.

If you have created a complete data flow, that is, if you have added and connected the required elements in each of the columns (INPUTS/OUTPUTS for direct properties and INPUTS/OPERATORS/OUTPUTS for complex properties) and you delete any of the elements, this will affect the data flow in one of the following ways:

  • If you delete an element from the INPUTS and/or OPERATORS columns, the connections between the elements will be lost and the dynamic properties that are left disconnected in the OUTPUTS column will appear in gray color, showing that the data flow is incomplete.

In this example 3 feeds have been deleted. The properties that were connected to each of them now appear in gray color.

  • If you delete a dynamic property from the OUTPUTS column, it has already been initially warned in this text that all the information linked to it will be lost. In addition, the connection that linked it to the other elements of the flow will be removed and, in case it has been added in the INPUTS column to be used in some other part of the asset flows, it will be removed from there as well.
