The asset inventory allows you to create, manage and organize all the assets that compose your digital twin.

In this section you will learn how to:

  • Add or modify existing ones.

  • Consult, organize and interact with your assets with the help of the 3 available views:

    • Tree. Build a hierarchical representation of your assets to shape your digital twin.

    • Layout. Relates the assets that are part of the same hierarchical level (the one created in the tree).

    • List. Visualize and manage your assets in a traditional list format.

  • If you wish, you can customize your assets by adding more information such as images, files, or static properties.

Once you add assets to your inventory, you will be able to view and manage them from the 3 available views, each of which allows you to perform different actions more efficiently.

When you enter the inventory, it will be displayed by default in the tree view, but you can switch at any time to any of the other two by selecting the desired view in the top bar.

Tree view

The tree view allows you to create and organize your asset inventory in a hierarchical way. To do so, you can drag and drop each of the created assets, either to change their order or to move them into or out of another asset.

As you organize and group assets, your assets tree will be build up. You can use the "+" and "-" icons to expand and collapse the different sections of your tree to make it easier to navigate through the different assets that compose it.

The final purpose is to build a tree representation of your digital twin that will be used in the “Status“ section to navigate through the assets' data and visualizations in your dashboards.

Search and filter assets

In the top bar, tools are available for searching and filtering in your asset tree:

You can search by asset name using the search field:

You can access the available filters by clicking on the filter icon:

The icon will open a panel, where you can filter by asset type, tags, or related files:

List view

Here you can create, view, and manage your assets inventory in a list.

Review your created assets by sorting them by name or type, or perform bulk actions in a more efficient way, such as deleting or duplicating several assets at once.

Search and filter assets

Assets can be searched and filtered from either view (tree or list) through the toolbar options:

You can search by asset name using the search field in the toolbar:
