Alarm life cycle
Now that you have configured an alarm, we will explain how it works on the platform, when an alarm closes and opens and how you will be notified when an alarm has been activated:
Alarm start
An alarm will be initiated once the number of consecutive measurements that meet the conditions and intervals defined in the alarm configuration sets has been reached. This number is defined within the alarm configuration in the "Number of repetitions" field. The alarm will be created with the start date of the first received anomalous value.
Alarm update
An open alarm is updated each time a new measurement occurs that raises, maintains or lowers the severity.
Alarm closure
The alarm will be closed when the number of consecutive measurements that do not meet any of the conditions and intervals defined in the alarm has been reached. The alarm will be finalized with the date of the first of these measurements that cause it to close.
Alert notifications
Within the platform, you can always check the latest alarms that have been triggered in the notifications panel. To open it, click on the "Notifications" button located in the top bar.
Â
You can also consult all the information of all the alarms that have been triggered in the Alarm history, as well as see the details of their complete life cycle.
Â
If you need to receive notifications on other channels, you can access the Alerts notifications settings in the user menu found in the upper right corner. There you can activate notifications for your email ( the one you are registered as a user of the platform) and for your cell phone (you must have the mobile application installed).
