To create a new data source, click on the “New data source“ button:

The first step into the Wizard is the selection of the data source type:

The next step is to configure the information of your data source (the info is the same for all types of devices):

Basic Information: Name, Model, and Serial Number.

Connection Data.

After selecting it, the "Next" button will be enabled to continue with the configuration.

Id: A string that identifies the device in the system.

  • User: User to get connected to the device.

  • Password: Password to get connected to the device.

Insecure: By default the connection is made using HTTPS, check this box if you don’t want to use https.

When all the data are filled, the button “Deploy” will be enabled and the data source will be ready to be deployed and communicate with the platform.

Click on “Return to connectivity list” to go back to the list of edges and data sources, where you will see the created data source:
