You can create a new asset either from the tree view or from the list view This option is only available for those users with permission granted to create/edit assets.

When configuring for the first time your assets tree, you will have to click on the “+ Add asset” button:

If you are in the Tree or in the List view, you can create new assets by clicking on the "+ Add asset" button:

In the Tree view you can also add an asset directly from the assets tree (by positioning in the root or parent asset):

In the Layout view you can add a new asset by clickink on the circular “+“ button, located at the top left of the layout.

Once you have clicked on the button, a panel with the asset creation wizard will open.

With this wizard, the attributes of an asset can be set.

Positioning your new asset 

If you want your new asset to be part of another asset, you can search and select it in the tree. In case you want to leave it at the main level, please select the "Position my asset at the root" option.

Select the root asset and click “Next”.

If the asset is being created directly from the assets tree, at this point will appear the root selected and the user can modify this root if he wishes.

Choose your asset type to characterize and identify it from other assets in order  to better organize your inventory and have a clearer navigation through your digital twin.

Basic Information 

Giving a name to your new asset is the only required field, but you can also add a description or an image to identify it and tags that will allow you to find it easily when searching.

Geolocalization

You can add the geolocation as an exact position using the address finder or by directly adding the coordinates (latitude and longitude).

Once the location has been found, the map will be displayed with the position and the latitude and longitude fields will be filled in automatically. You can also type the longitude and latitude information directly, without searching for the address.

Or you can add a delimited area of your asset by adding it as a polygon in a GeoJSON file.

To do so, click on the "Upload GeoJSON file" button that appears below the map:

Once you have uploaded your file, the polygon area will be shown on the map with blue lines. In addition, below the map the file name will be displayed along with a trash icon, which will allow you to delete the file, and an arrows icon with which you can replace it for another file if you need to:

Static properties are optional, but they can add some useful information about your asset. They are essential characteristics of the asset shown as text properties (such as model or manufacturer) or numeric properties (such as weight, power, etc.).

Data flows and dynamic properties (available soon)

Through data flows and the dynamic properties that are created from them, you will be able to access the obtained data from your datasources data sources and link them to your assets. This will allow you to monitor real data from your assets and have it available in your digital twin and dashboards.

Related files 

You can add useful documents related to your asset, such as manuals, images, or documents. 

Allowed formats are PNG, JPG, PDF, ZIP, and DOC. With a maximum of 5MB per uploaded file.
